I have 2 PC's, each having its own printer connected directly to it.
The first PC (Windows XP) is wireless and uses an HP printer. I have no trouble printing from my iMac G5 (10.4.8) to this printer.
The second PC (Windows XP) is the primary computer attached to the router. It has a Dell A920 printer attached. This printer was also set up in the mac printing browser through the mac Printer Setup Utility. However, when I try to print from the mac, the printer on the PC makes the usual startup sound and then stops. On the mac, I get the following error messages:
"NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK NAME".
This is then followed by another error message:
"Unable to connect SAMBA host".
I have tried disabling the firewall on the PC (Windows XP) with no success.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
