Cannot pick Mail signature

I have several signatures in my Preferences and, up until this week, I could pick any of them from the drop-down menu when composing a message. Now the drop-down menu is empty, even though all of the signatures are still visible in the Preferences

Any ideas?

Have you clicked the specific Mail account you are going to use? - If you have multiple signatures Mail puts them all into the "All Signatures" category at the top of the Account column. You have drag the signature you want to use to the account you are going to use
