Canon Scanner drivers are here!

Ahhh the wait is over! I've been needing a scanner this entire semester, and really wanted one of those USB-powered CanoScan scanners but there were no OSX drivers. Well, there here!

Of course, they're only beta and seem a bit shakey, but at least they've got a workable solution out! BestBuy, here I come....

Watch out though. They only work on Canon's NEW scanners. Those of us with a N1220 or N650 (which contribute somewhere in the area of 70 percent of their sales) are left out in the cold for the time being.

If Canon starts only supporting their new scanners in X, and forgets about their old customers (I myself own two N650s and was told over a year ago that OS X support was coming "any day now"), they will lose not only my business, but anyone's business who hears about this ridiculous blunder. The "drivers" they wrote aren't even drivers; it's a TWAIN acquire which requires a third-party program to even work. After 18 months, I expect better.
