Have an Epson c-80. Have a Speedstream 2624 Wireless access point router w/print server.
Have powerbook running 10.2.6.
Try to connect all three - add an IP printer, then select 'other' in the printer model drop down, and navigate to HD>library>printer>Epson and sure enough, there is my printer description - but it is GREYED OUT.
Tried using the 'generic', but when printing from Appleworks, all I get is page after page of text junk.
How do I get this printer to properly set up on this network?
PS, I tried to change the description after adding the printer, and that 'almost' worked. I could select it, but when I click 'apply changes', or close the dialog box it reverts to generic.
Speedstream 'support' refers only to setting up an LPR printer under classic, but that is not what I am trying to do.
