Hi all!

I'm new to the forum. I have a question about my inability to connect to software update and when I attempt to upload a web site I created in iWeb to the MobileMe site.

I have a Powerbook G4, running OS 10.4.11, using Hughesnet satellite internet, and connect wirelessly through an airport hub.

It seems that since I got Hughesnet, I was unable to connect to software update (I don't know if that's the problem - Hughesnet says it's Apple's problems and Apple says it's Hughesnet's problem). I receive error messages stating that I am not connected to the internet, but I am. I have no problems accessing websites, email, etc. Also, I recently created a web site in iWeb, and started an account with MobileMe.

When in iWeb, I attempt to upload the site to the server, and it gives me the following error message: "Publish Error. iWeb couldn't connect to .Mac. Make sure your internet connection works and try again."

When I attempt to update my software via the apple, I receive the following error message: "Software Update can't connect to the update server. Make sure you're connected to the internet, then try again. Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem."

I'm not very experienced with this type of problem. Can anyone offer assistance?

Thanks so much!
