This seems to be a recent development, but when I open an text document in Preview and highlight a section of text, copy, and then try to paste into another document (email, Word) I get a line of gibberish.
When I highlighted that same .pdf text and turned on Speech -> Start Speaking it spoke in gibberish too "percent one hundred eighty-one fourteen percent 28 dollars..."
Another .pdf document I copied and pasted into Word and every single word had a "return" after it, so the entire message scrolled down the page as a series of single words on a line.
I don't recall having .pdf text not be copyable as plain text or with returns after each word.
Is this a Snow Leopard thing? a .pdf thing? a Preview thing? I have one computer running 10.5.8 and another running 10.6.7 so I'm baffled.
--sorry if I posted this twice, I wasn't registered before---
