can't find photos in iphoto

Can't find my photos in iphoto after upgrade to leopard from tiger. I am running a iMac G5 with 1.5 Gig ram. I initially ran leopard to upgrade my system. Safari would not run. I reloaded leopard and this time the os worked. It created a file called previous system. I could not find my photos in this file nor my Email data etc.
Can you help me recover my personal data? I'm sure it resides somewhere in this previous system file.

Have you opened iPhoto to look? Do you have an iPhoto library in your pictures folder in your home folder? Those are the first places to look. Let us know what you find, and we can probably help. I seriously doubt your photos are gone. They would not likely be in the Previous System folder, either. What would make you think they would be in your email? Are the photos simply ones that people have emaild to you?
