Hi,
I'm pretty new to OS X (10.1.5) and have run into a problem that started about a week and a half ago. When I try to connect to our file server (Finder-->Go-->Connect to Server) I get the following dialog:
No file services are available at the URL afp:/at/server:*.
Try again later or try a different URL (server returned error - 1028).
[OK]
Also, I can't print to our network printers either. When I send something to print, it opens the print center and says:
Unable to open printer connection.
[Delete Job] [Stop Queue] [Stop Job]
I started using OS X in the end of August, and everything has been working fine, it just suddenly stopped working. Interestingly, I can still get onto the Internet through our shared DSL connection, so I don't think it is my ethernet card or my cable, etc. Everyone else in the office is fine - the problem seems to only be with my machine.
As the last oddity, my su command also has stopped working. When I su and enter my password, it returns "Segmentation Fault". I don't know if this would prevent things running as root user or anything, and therefor screw things up.
Thanks in advance,
