Can't send Entourage mail

Everytime I try to send mail with Entourage I get:

Error. 5.7.0 From address is not one of your addresses.

Explanation.
Mail could not be sent.
Account name "MobileMe"

Error - 17099

I've read some of the other posts and obviously this is a lingering issue (going back 4 years or more). This is a brand new MacBook with Entourage 2008 with all the updates.

Absent any useful information except for the fact that you have a MacBook with Entourage 2008 installed, my guess is that you have a well-known SMTP problem. It is common practice for ISPs to block access to SMTP servers outside their domain. This is a security measure. There are two workarounds:
  1. Change your SMTP port to Port 587.
  2. Use your ISP's SMTP server.

Evening all. Hope you can assist. I am having the same issue that is talked about above. However, I have set my SMTP Port to 587 already.

I dont think that the ISP is the issue as I have a couple of other machines that are able to access the server without issue.

My machine:
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
HD
Mac OS X ver 10.5.8
Entourage 2004 for Mac Ver 11.4.0

I am pretty sure that all updates have been applied and I am fully patched.
