I have a Mac AGP 400 with Jaguar and 9.2.1. I can boot to both.
I'm trying to update my firmware so I can install a new processor, but it refuses to allow me to do this.
Each time I go through the update process. When I start up my machine holding in the programmers button, it just stays black. i've held it for as long as 10 minutes. I've been trying this for 2 days now.
I'm trying to install firmware update 4.2.8. I'm booting from 9.2.1, not trying to go through Classic.
I can boot to terminal using Option-Command-O-F. I was hoping there might be a way to update the firmware from there, if the reboot trick isn't working.
I'm totally frustrated.
