On my imac using OSX3.9, all microsoft OfficeX programs have started quitting after about 20 seconds from startup.
I have tried chucking the office preferences in the user library, tried re-installing Office but no joy.
The mac crash report finishes with "/System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonSound.framework/Versions/A/CarbonSound"
There seems to be some discussion on this file carbonsound, but I can't find any answers.
