Wow. Those bagbags are really awesome looking. :)

I had a custom for the ibook, looking like this closed and opened. Now i have practically a similar one for the powerbook. I put that to the backpack then, I would NOT feel comfortable showing off too visibly that I have an apple laptop with me.
 
i am assuming you have the 12" iBook so i am goin gto highly recoment getting the Samsonite Backpacks Widesize Messenger Bag

i love mine and has worked really well for my use at school

I have a 12" powerbook. I just bought a standard thin neoprene bag from Marware like this and then a bigger Crumpler courier bag which it fits inside. I don't like obvious computer cases, especially the backpacks because i go on the tube (sub way) a lot and its stupid to advertise. The Crumpler dedicated laptop bags are cool as well, but can't be used for other things, and the courier bags will hold and enormous amount of stuff, even with a computer.

I also have a 12" PowerBook.
I got a zipper-sleve for a Sony Vaio (took the label off), got an oversized mouse-pad to stuff inside for extra protection. The Vaio Zipper Sleve Came with a "Charger Case" that fits the PowerBook charger and all my wires. I stuff all that into an old ragged backpack.
Add some books (and a wind jacket) and who'd be the wiser? :)
 
Chrome makes some pretty awesome bags, I want their mini messenger bag with the laptop sleeve, or at least I would if I had a laptop.
