CD drive making wierd noises

I have the same problem and I'm starting to think that it's a problem with how the drive is mounted in my machine. It seems to be mounted slightly to the left.

Is there anyone that has solved this problem?

Which model do you have exactly? And how new is it? It'll be a bit easier to see if you are the only one with that if we know what Mac you have...
