CD-Recording software?

I just browsed through a couple of cd-recording related threads looking for an alternative to toast? I just hate the recording utilities that comes with OSX. There have to be some freeware opensource unix/linux application that I can compile for OSX! Can someone please help me find it! I cant afford Toast right now, ill by it later though.. but for now I need something that works better than the default utilities. I would like it to be able to handle PC cd formats aswell..!

Well, all I can suggest is what you didn't want me to suggest.....Toast. It rules basically

Toast is the king of the hill. There just isn't anything comparable to it. I personally would like to see a free opensource cd recording software, but it still probably won't compare to toast.

If you want something cheap that works well, and and does session burns, try CDSession burner. You can find it at http://www.versiontracker.com. It's a $17.00 shareware app that you can try for awhile.
