I have a cd stuck in the drive of my ibook. The computer isn't recognizing that there is a disk in the drive. I've tried everything to get it out - holding down the mouse button during startup, holding down the f12 eject button at startup, holding down the option button at startup and pushing f12 after the cursor becomes an arrow, going to open firmware and prompting "eject cd"...nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Its going to have to be taken apart and removed manually, especially if system profiler isn't seeing the drive. Sometimes you can go under the keyboard and rmove the RAM door to see the cable connection for the optical drive to the logic board. Could check there and at least make sure the optical drive flex cable is plugged into the logic board.
