CDBurnerService set to bad Burner

Hello, I have a MacBook Pro.

I recently downloaded a free trial of M4P Converter.
This program installed a "Virtual Burner" and now my priority seems to be set on this burner.

Now my Mac is not reading DVD-Rs. The discs are ejected before they are read. CD-Rs still read as well as music CDs and commercial/movie DVDs.

In my iTunes Preferences I have chosen my normal MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-846 as the default.

In System Profiler, under Software>Startup Items, CDBurnerService is set to:

m4pTomp3 CD Burner
Location: /System/Library/StartupItems/CDBurnerService
Provides: CD Burner
Messages:
Start: Starting CD Burner
Stop: Stopping CD Burner
Order Preference: Early

Is there a way I can set the Order Preference to Late or switch the preferred CDBurnerService to my original MATSHITA?

In System Profiler under Hardware>Disc Burning, there are 2 Burners listed:

M4PToMP3 Virtual CD-RW:

Firmware Revision: 2.11
Interconnect: SCSI
Burn Support: Yes (Unsupported)
Profile Path: None
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: No
CD-Write: -R, -RW
Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw
Media: No

MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-846:

Firmware Revision: FQ3T
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipped/Supported)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL
Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes
Burn Underrun Protection DVD: Yes
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO
Media: No

How can I 'uninstall' this Virtual Burner?

I am assuming the problem is linked to this program since DVD-Rs were working normally to back up files before I had installed MP4ToMP3 Converter.

I have tried inserting a DVD-R disc while the machine is shutting down, but the next time I power up the disc still just ejects.

Thank you for your help,
