All,
I am trying to find a way to change the properties of FileMaker Pro files that are exported as SYLK (slk in the Finder) to open using Excel as the default.
The easy part is making the change using Get Info to use Excel (and then, Change All) the hard part is how to make that change to a large number of Macs for users that are not very technical.
I tried copying the altered com.apple.LaunchServices.plist to other Macs, but that doesnt seem to work.
So, does anyone know if AppleScript could be used for this? I looked at Automator, but I didnt see anything obvious there that was of potential help.
Thanks,
Scott
