Changing a shortcuts path?

How can i change the path of a shortcut?

Reason I want to ask is i want to create a shortcut to my /Volumes folder, right now im doing a work around by putting shortcuts to my hd in a folder, but i would like to have that updated with whatever cd i put in, or whatnot...

any help?

What's wrong with Shift + Command + C? I suppose you don't have disks/removable media set to mount on the Desktop, eh?

Or maybe this would help?

Might need to restart for further testing, but why not (from the Finder) select Go --> Go to Folder... and type in "/Volumes". Select Column view so you can actually see the /Volumes folder itself and drag it to the Dock. Seems to work here.
