Changing Swapfile directory in Jaguar

I haven't been able to change the swap directory in Jaguar, neither with SpamCop or by editing /etc/rc

When I put for example /Volumes/Swap/private/var/vm and I restart, Jaguar creates a new folder called Swap inside /Volumes and renames the link to the disk Swap to Swap 1

Does anybody know how to fix this??
