One of our production Macs seems to have a intermittent problem with printing in Classic. Every once in a while a file will just hang when printing - after you hit print and get the "printing" dialog box (eg. Quark). You have to Esc out of it and when you go to check on the Chooser, it crashes and you have to restart Classic in order to get it working again (for a little while anyway). It was a problem in 10.3.9 and continues to be a problem with 10.4.3.

Before you select print - go to the chooser and at the same time you select it hold down the option and the apple keys. (it is easier to hold down those two keys - then select the chooser). You should hear an alert sound.
After the alert sound, release those two keys and the chooser will come up.
Now select the printer and port. Close the chooser and give it a print job.
