Now that there is a bump in Apple Cinema Displays and theres no official briefing from the company that there is a bump i take it that it will be hard to i know what product im purchasing, will it be a new product or will it be the older one? How will i know, is it something that can be seen easily?

(Very bad thread title, adjusted.) - The product wasn't changed, only the price. So you'll know by the price you pay.

It looks like they did actually change them.. look at the specs on refurbs, then on the new ones. I would call Apple and see if you can still return yours, as you payed for the old model.

You can get $100 bucks off the old 20-inch model at the refurbished store. (bringing it down to $599) If you want to save 200 bucks, you can get the same display for 200 bucks less at the refurbished store. All the refurbished products are thoroughly tested and come with 1 year Applecare.

oh, okay... Well, then you probably have to wait until someone getting a new one spills the serial number changes or something, so that you can check before buying. Maybe the specs are even mentioned on the packaging? I wouldn't know...
