Here's one that's a little over my head. My dad can't get Classic to run anymore. He's on a G4/400 (I think), with OS X 10.1.2 and 9.2.2. Well, he just ran the 9.2.2 update and it didn't fix the problem. Before that he was running 9.2.1.
Here's the deal. He launches classic and it gets all the way through the boot screen until the very end. The classic screen goes to that generic blue and then never finishes booting up. If he reboots with extensions off through the OS X System Preferences Pane, then it works. But he can boot straight into OS 9 (sans OS X) and it works with everything running. Very strange as far as I'm concerned. So, how do fix a Classic problem that you can't recreate in OS 9? Any ideas? I haven't had him log in as another user, that would tell me if it were a problem specific to his Library...but I wouldn't know how to go about fixing it even if that were the case. In the meantime, I'll be praying to the gods
