Cleaning supplies?

JPigford

I'm awesome...seriously..
So after 4 years of living in a dorm room and NEVER cleaning off dust on my various machines I've had over the years...I've got a ridiculous amount of dust both inside and outside of my computers. What sort of cleaning supplies are best for getting everything back to shiny and new.

Damp, with water, soft lint-free cloth, iKlear/iClean (not necessarily both--take your pick) along with their micro-fibre cloths, and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (for really grease/oil soiled surfaces--e.g., keyboard surfaces). Never use very much water in areas where it might seep internally and only use light pressure. Do not use the Eraser on the screen or any very glossy surface--although light pressure on a glossy surface (not the screen) probably would not hurt. Absolutely no alchohol/amonia on the screen--well at least not on an LCD screen. No harsh chemicals anywhere.

Compressed air? Just make sure to aim away from computer on first use, it will spray a little liquid on the first pull of the trigger.
