I used to use an operating system called BeOS, which back in the mid 90's had a really cool demo program on it called 3dmov. Basically 3dmov had a few objects (book, cube, and wave) that were 3d that you could drag and drop images and Quicktime movies onto. For instance, in the coolest demo you could drag Quicktime movies (or images) onto four pages of a book and then turn the pages, the movies bending with the pages while playing.
I'd love to see this demo duplicated on OS X, and I'd be willing to pay a couple hundred bucks for it. Obviously that's not a lot, but all I could afford. I'd certainly let the developer sell the finished product to other people as well.
Is what I described above even possible in OS X? If so, could someone put me in touch with a developer who'd like to take a stab at it?
