Color and html tables - won't print

Safari (and all other browsers) won't print tables with colored bckgrounds, they are black and white. Browsers will print coloured text, but thats not what I/We want. There is some chatter about this on the net, but those fixes don't work.

I can use Camino to save the HTML output, open this in textEdit and go through hoops with opientations and % reductions and it eventually works.

Does anybody know if there is anythiing definative on this, like "No it won't work and never will", or "Just click this button and all is well"....... sorta thing.

There is a way: go to Prefs and select Safari from the third popup menu. Check Print Backgrounds :)
