Combo Drive: Reads DVD's but not CD's and CD-R's

Hi,

I have a powerbook G4. 800mhz with a combo drive (CD-RW/DVD) drive.

DVD's read fine but CD's and CD-R's wont read. I pop a CD in, it does some stuff, and spits it back out.

I tried resetting the pram and the power management with the button underneath F12.

Still no luck.

I have CD's set to open iTunes which I also set to ignore or ask but that didn't do anything as well.

Any insight?

Seems very strange DVD's work and Cd's don't.

Junbug, before getting too serious, spend a couple bucks
of a CD/DVD lens cleaner disc. Might help.
