Everybody loves comics! I know I do, here are my favourite comic sites, most of them have a daily update, others are 3-5 times / week, some less, but all are great cartoons imho.

OS-based Comics
Machall Comics
A hilarious comic about a bunch of graduates/students, all of them Mac users and hardcore gamers. I love the style in which Ian draws these cartoons, every cartoon is a work of art.

Applegeeks
A follow-up story about a particular Applegeek, he knows everything about Mac, more even, he _is_ mac. Nah, he ain't, yet ... But he made a real Mac-girl tho, check it out, it's fun. You'll get more of if you scroll a couple of cartoons back. Very talented artist.

Userfriendly Comics
About the techies and marketing guys at Columbia (an ISP). Goes on mostly about Linux, typical geek things (like coffee addiction and sometimes l33t) and the problems between marketing people and computer people.

The PC Weenies
Some of these are good, some of them aren't, but it's a fun comic alltogether. He makes a cartoon about everything that happens in the Mac world too so check it out.

"Regular" Comics
Garfield
He's big, he's bad, he's lazy, he's arrogant. He's Garfield. Better than the movie, by a long shot. You can check all the comics up till 1977 if I remember correctly. I did it some time ago at work when I was really really bored.

Dilbert
We've all read this at one point. Comics about the corporate life. Some of them are downright brilliant and I heard once that he makes his comics about stuff that has happened to him (or something close to it) or how he suspects it would've happened. You can always send him funky stuff that happened to you, but he has enough stuff to go on for years! (or so the word on the street is y'all ...)

Get Fuzzy Comics
I love this one! It's about a cute gullible dog, an evil cat and your average joe-shmoe. The drawings are extremely cute, with the round bellies and all ...

Calvin and Hobbes
A classic, I have most comic books of this one. It's a shame the artist stopped drawing Calving and his little tiger, he was a genius. Oh, and for the dim ones, the tiger is actually a doll! *shocked face* /grin

Comics based on games
GU Comics
GU Comics. I love the way this is drawn too. (Yes, I know ...) Anyway, this comic is about online games mostly. A lot about EQ, a lot about WoW, if you play online games, you will adore this comic, it's so sad and true, it's funny.

WTF Comics
A follow-up story. Set in the Everquest worlds, something dreadful is going to happen due to an evil over Haxxor. Brilliant, I always look forward to the next one, a decent read if you read em all, extremely funny if you ever played EQ.

8-bit Theatre
Hah! 8-bit power to the people! You have an old Nintendo? You loved your Sega? You will love this. A follow-up story, the beginning is brilliant, read the first couple of comics, I loved it.

Strictly Online Comics
Radioactive Panda
A funny comic, good views and a brilliant idea with the zombies, werewolf and mad scientists! Everything you need if you're tired of your average life and want to build evil machines and make lasers and of course, bring back to life the long passed away!

Sinfest
A comic about values, this one is truly hilarious. Japanese like drawings, I'd call it Manga but it's not just Manga yet, it's that touch different than manga that makes it so acceptable.

Anyway, these are my favourites but there's thousands of other comic sites on the net, I read all of these daily. I check them daily at least. Now let's have some others!

Edit: A mistake about Bill Waterson, the artist of the Calvin and Hobbes cartoons, pointed out by Arden, thank you for that. I thought he had passed away but he's still alive and kicking! The last strip ran Dec. 31, 1995.

yeah, that was a great last strip. I did my philosophy term paper on calvin and hobbes. its funny how the characters match their human counterparts so much.

I always start my day with Sinfest (of course). Next comes Doonesbury and Oliphant, which I think can only be viewed through the comics page of The NYTimes (registration required)

P.S. delsoljb32: Do you still have that paper?, I'd love to see it! Seriously. (No, I don't want to plagiarize it or anything... let's just call it "research." ;) )
