Command key is sticking

As in stay stuck down? What kind of keyboard do you have?

I got a new Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard, and when i press Cmd-shift on the right side it does a "control lock" for the right control key, and i have to hit the control key to turn it off. Annoying, but somewhat avoidable.

Did you check to see if you have a crumb or dust ball stuck at the edges? Unplug the keyboard, turn it upside down and shake. I bet lots of stuff falls out.

I have the stock apple keyboard that comes with PowerMac G5's. And it doesn't really stay stuck. It's sort of just when I'm pushing it down, it will randomly snag on the way down. And I shook it all around just short of throwing it across the room and it still sticks a bit :) Wasn't sure if just after using it so much, something got worn off or something. Of course I've only had the keyboard since August but I use the keyboard some 8 hours per day.

speaking of sticky keys, I have had some problems with the left shift key on apple keyboards. For some reason I have to press it harder and longer than I normally would if I want it to capitalize. It dosent seem to happen all the time, but does'nt happen on PCs, but does on my iBook and the eMacs at school. Is it just me?

Each keyboard does have a different feel, which could make you think that you have to hold down that shift key harder and longer. Your PC keyboard probably has a lighter touch.

JPigford: Open a small paperclip and with the open end, gently move around the key. This will dislodge anything that is stuck there. Does the key look like it is evenly spaced around the sides? It could be hitting a key next to it or the side of the keyboard.
