Hi, I currently have a Netgear 834PN, but I need a better coverage, a better signal whilst using my Macbook Pro, a macbook core 2 duo and I also have a macmini intel duo in my lounge as a kind of media centre.
Anyway, the Netgear 834PN (http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=2436) is not giving a good enough coverage and I am thinking about the Netgear 834N (http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=3474)
I think it looks like it's backwards compatible from N which is good.
the other idea would be to try and utilise the N range with the three macs I have?
I have heard that I can upgrade my Macbook Pro 17" and my macbook to take advantage of the N - is this safe and what does this involve? also, wondering if I can do the same on my mac mini or would I have to use a third part usb device?
If anyone has any experience or knowledge, it would be very useful. thanks
