I have a small LAN where one of the computers is a running Win2K. All the Macs on the network can access this computer with the exception of the one that is running 10.1.5. The same machine, when (dual) booted in 9.2.2 is accessing the server over ethernet TCP/IP with no problems.

I can see the PC on the network, I can go up to the selecting the "drive C", I am asked for the user name and password but upon hitting OK button I get the mesage "Can't mount volume / Drive C An AppleSharre system error occured".

I appreciate any help,
Thank you:confused:

Hi,

I had the same problem, to connect to a printer or server using AppleTalk, you need to turn on AppleTalk on your computer.

Open System Preferences and click Network. Select a configuration from the Show pop-up menu that supports AppleTalk, such as Built-in Ethernet. Click the AppleTalk tab and select the Make AppleTalk Active checkbox.

To set a name for your computer, use Sharing preferences.
