connect to server password disappear?

I connect to a Novell server at work from my Powerbook with 10.3.2 by typing the IP address into "Connect to Server." One day I decided to keep the pwd on the keychain, and ever since then I can no longer get onto the server. If I try, I get a dialog box that says that my user name and password are invalid, but I get no opportunity to re-enter them (it only offers me to "try again" or "cancel"). I have looked everywhere for this keychain, to no avail - in keychain access, in the prefs library (trashed a bunch of user prefs - no good), and even did a grep in terminal to find any reference to the IP address or my user name anywhere on the hard drive. All was fruitless. If I create a new user on my machine, I can get into the server no problem. Any ideas? Where is this keychain?
