I'm working on a media server for final cut pro 7 to edit video over a fast gigabyte / cat6a base network. Everything works well and with ftp we can transfer well over 100mb/s over the wire. However we only get those speeds with a mounted FTP or NFS drive. OS X finder only seem to support writing with SMB and AFP. I have tried a virtual FTP drive witch works great with finder but no matter what I use, mac fuse/ mac fusion, epan drive, transmit, web drive. The virtual drive only shows in finder and not in final cut pro 7.
So my question to you is any other way that you know of to get write support in finder or attach a network drive directly to final cut pro 7 as its source drive for editing?
