Hi there,
I have just purchased a MacBookPro (15inch) which came with a free airport express, wireless internet
but I am having trouble connecting to Bigpond cable.
My MacBookPro will connect to the network I created fine (full signal) but my issue lies when I go to connect with my ISP, I have downloaded the Bigpond cable client (which connects fine directly via ethernet) but when I go to connect using the airport express there is a long delay and it won't connect.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and could shed some light, or does anyone have any ideas that may help.
I could buy a router and let the PC make the physical connection to the inernet first then join the network via the airport express, but that isn't the preferred option as the PC is my flatmates and don't think he would appreciate it running as often as I would like to be on the internet and personally I would prefer to just purchase a wireless adaptor for his PC.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
thanks j

ok so I am a little over my head now I have done some research on Bigpond's website and discovered the cable client sends a 'heartbeat' to the cable client to check that all is well, could this be preventing me from connecting the way I am trying to connect (via Airport Express) I have also found the the cable client (which I ha dtrouble installing) is not a native running app rather it is a power pc app (found in getinfo)
If ny of this helps I would really really like some advice,
thanks again
