Connecting to OSX Server from Windows

Does anyone know if this will work and how to do it? I have OSX Server on a mac at home (cable modem). I have a linksys wireless hub. The server is connected with Ethernet. I have a windows share that works from a windows machine inside my LAN. However, when I try to connect over the Internet it doesn't work. I assume it should but I probably have the syntax wrong.

Assuming my IP address is 24.24.24.24 and my windows share is called "wshare" what is the syntax to connect to my server from outside my lan?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I'm sure your wireless hub is a router. A router "routes" inbound requests (from the WAN) to specific inside (LAN) IP addresses, where some application must handle the request. So, using the admin page/function of your router, open port 139 (smb port) to the IP address of your windoze machine. Make sure you are using at least password security!
You access your home net using the WAN IP address of the router, which most likely changes frequently because of ISP/DHCP setup.

Oh, did you want to connect to the OS X server? The port I gave will work there, too, or you might want to use port 548 for AFP connection?
