Connecting Yahoo Instant Messenger on G4

I have a G4 running OS 10.4.6 on a Proxy server network at my Job and I am having problem connecting to Yahoo's Instant messenger.
I enable all of the following Proxy setting in System Prefs:
FTP Proxy
Web Proxy (HTTP)
Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS)
Streaming Proxy (RTSP)
SOCKS Proxy

I have assigned each with a Proxy server and Port setting.


In Yahoo Instant Messenger Preferences, I have enable the
"Use Proxies" check box and added the HTTP Proxy Server
and Port setting.

But I am unable to connect to Yahoo Instant Messenger at all.


Then I tried using a app called SquidMan which is a MacOS X graphical installer and manager for the Squid proxy cache. It is designed to operate as a "personal" proxy server.

I was able to connect with SquidMan but Yahoo Instant Messenger Crash after a few minutes.

hate to tell you that some proxy servers and most proxys at workplaces will have IM ports blocked. You might want to do a search on the forums and on google before you post.
