I'm moving an entire department from OS9 to OSX (Panther). SO far everything is going grand. One 'problem' that the designers are having is that they are constantly getting disconnected from the shared server (Win 2000).
I'm on the same network, but only seem to experience these disconnects once and awhile. My initial thought was that it was an inactivity time-out, occurring to those users who weren't active enough on the network. But reports of people getting disconnected right after transferring a file from the network dispel that theory.
Can anyone provide some information as to what OSX might be doing? When does it decided to disconnect? Is there a way to force the activation to remain while the machine is awake?
Any information or advice would be appreciated.
