Convert mp4 to DVD-video? shareware?

Seems I have the exact opposite problem of many: I want to convert video *from* mp4/m4v *to* "normal" DVD-video.

Specifically, these are TV shows I downloaded from iTunes. I want to burn them to a DVD so I can play them in in my regular DVD player connected to my television.

I've searched and searched for a shareware or at least free to try software that converts video formats but I haven't found anything for a Mac.

Any help would be great!!! I love my Mac (it's my second) but finding software can be a pain sometimes.

Thanks everybody.

There are lots of ways to convert video on Macs. Toast can do it, ffmpegX can do it, and more. HOWEVER, this is a different problem, because the videos you download from iTunes are copy-protected using Apple's proprietary DRM. I've never downloaded a movie from iTunes myself, so I can't say for sure, but I don't think Apple allows any kind of conversion of the videos. So unless Apple changes their tune (no pun intended) on the matter or some intrepid developer cracks their DRM, you won't be able to convert them to DVDs.

If I'm wrong and Apple hasn't locked up their videos, ffmpegX will be able to handle it.

Thanks so much for replying! I downloaded and installed ffmpegX (awesome program), and it seemed to let me convert the iTunes videos, but nothing would open them (I tried QuickTime and iDVD). Then I tried converting some old mpeg videos from a couple years ago, and those converted fine -- AND they played fine.

So looks like Apple has made it impossible for me to convert those shows -- which sucks, b/c I frickin paid for them.

Anybody had any luck converting videos purchased from iTunes?
