I have a Lacie external hard drive that is operating very slowly and will often crash. Because the warranty is still in effect I am going to send it off to get replaced.
I am trying to back my files up onto a new hard drive, however, certain files will not copy. Copying stops and an error message saying the files are unreadable keeps popping up. All files on the drive are video.
Anything I can try to avoid taking it to a data recovery shop?
