Recently I spent 5 hours completing a spreadsheet on my MacBook Pro 13" (Running latest snowleopard). When I went to 'protect and share' excel 2011 shut down due to an unexpected fault. When I closed it all down and tried to reopen the file it would not open and says the file maybe corrupt or invalid path. The file is now an xlsm.
I am fairly new to using a mac so I am unsure how to recover the file. I downloaded XLM converter which did not work and was guided to install rosetta software to assist but again no resolve. It has full info in 'get info' so hopefully everything is still there.
Any suggestions would be great, I hold out hope that this great system will find me an answer!
