I have a used cpu with a lot of files on it . Can I delete all these files and start over with a clean hard drive? I want to delete everything on my hard drive without effecting my cpu's web capabilities . It was an office cpu hooked up to the company server . There are a lot of files I can delete , but am affraid it will crash my cpu's ability to surf the web .

What does a computer's stored files have to do with its ability to connect to the Internet? Do you know you posted on the Mac help forum? What model Mac is it and what version of Mac OS X? You can use the Mac's install disc to erase the hard disk and reinstall the OS.
