Creating a mountable disk image with toast 6

my best guess is to use the 'data' tab and select what format you want. Unless you want to copy a disk image to disk, then you select the 'copy' tab and a choose 'image file' on the leftside panel.

Disc Copy in the Utilities folder can make dmg disk images
 
The Toast 6 HELP menu will explain how to do this.

1-Setup disk
2-Choose File>Save As Disk Image
The Save As Dialog box appears
4-Save to where you want it
