Anyone know what tools are availables to create fonts in OSX, and if possible 2-bits fonts like Japanese or Chinese? What is more, I would like to be able to use them on PC as well...
For years and years I have always used Macromedia's Fontographer (no longer available). Fontographer is/was the defacto standard for creating fonts of many types and for many platforms. This app has saved my butt more times than I can mention. Its the only app that would reliably convert fonts between PC <> Mac. Tried it for the first time in the classic layer the other day and it crashes horribly!!!! You can open it up but as soon as you start messing with fonts - its outta there. Sorry I don't have any better news for you.
