cross platform disc images

i have a disc image that was made with easy cd creator on a windows machine. is it possible for me to transfer that to my mac and burn it from there with disc copy?

i asks to to select an image but i cant select the one i have. i assume its a format problem and i could probably trick it by changing the extension and what not, but will it work?

are image file formats universal?

Some file formats are. What kind of file is it? .iso, .bin, .cue, .nrg?
See if FireStarter FX can burn it.

haha triple post! delete two of those man :^)
and cf25 - i think that the only image formats that disk image can handle are .img. .dmg .smi and i think that it can handle .iso, but .cif probably not. especially if it gives you an error when you try it in disk image.
