CUPS and printer sharing with windows

I have installed 10.2 and was wondering what the CUPS printing deal was, it doesn't seem different to me.

The other thing is I have a new windows box running XP and wanted to know if I could print from my iBook to the printer connected to the PC ? I know that 10.2 is supposed to play better with windows boxes on the network, but wanted to know If I could use the shared printere somehow.

I found this page of instructions to set up cups printing but haven't been able to get them to work. I suspect that I don't know enough about what is going on in the windows box.

My own setup has an Epson 900 connected to the AMD XP box networked to a linksys wireless router and an iBook running 10.2 over the wireless link.

I can get my iBook to find the PCs shared volumes and to use Microsoft Remote Desktop, but cannot get the PC to see the mac on the network. They are connected, they can ping each other, but still no dice.
