.DAT video files?

Hello guys,

I got a CD from a friend with some .DAT video files from a digital camera... I can view them in Windows with Media Player, but what application should I view them with in MacOSX?

Thanks for any tips!
 
Is there a way to change the file associations so that .dat files are automatically associated with QT?

I think those were called MIME Types in Windows?

Well, there is Windows Media Player for Mac...

You can also change what opens a certain file type with either Command-I or Control/right-click.
