Hi,
Just sent my question to wrong forum oops sorry!
I have an ibook G3 with a dead hard drive. I dropped it off my bed at college and it instantly stopped working. I have 3 yr warranty but was told that I had to go through my insurance due to accidental damage. The insurance firm dutifully took the machine and after examination said that there was no internal or external damage and therefore it must be a faulty hard drive and will not repair it.
Has anyone out there had any similar experience of dropped machines and damaged hard drives. (I know the G4 has a motion sensor so if you have one of these machines you will not suffer like I have!) and is my warranty invalid? Please help advise someone!
If I have to get it repaired myself despite insurance and the warranty anyone got a clue of the cost?
