I'm not gloating, but I have all of this week off.

After months of solid work it felt so good to leasurely wake into Cafe Flore and indulge in way too much caffein... :p

The way things have been lately I had to cut way back on coffee because lack of sleep has caused me to have an incredibly short fuse... and caffien has prooven to not help things.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............

So what do you want to talk about?

<silence>

Hmmmmm, well the question that I've been pondering is "after almost 11 years, what keeps a relationship going?"...

Probably respect and admiration for one another. :)

Oh yeah? I can top that! :D
I've been off for a bit over 2 months now! :D

But, most of the time I've been confined indoors, in my room, in pain... BORED and going out of my mind! blarg! :(

Been recovering from a pretty major operation to get my foot working again after an accident. :p

Waking up at a coffee house sonds awsome, but - I'm usually in too much pain to drive. Hmmm... how can I con - err I mean convince someone to chauffeur me around? :)

I haven't had a relationship that even comes close to being that long - except for a friendship of almost 20 years with my best friend whom I greatly admire.

I would guess, being first and formost true FRIENDS to eachtother would make any relationship last for eons...

Well....if we're all not gloating....

This summer my wife, her mother and my wifes sister-in-law opened an espresso bar/coffee house of their own. This is cool and all, but living in the apt above the shop is even cooler! Right in the middle of downtown, with some serioulsy great coffee only feet away....

I'll have to get back to you all and recondsider if this is still cool when our first child is born in January, but the close proximity should be a plus.

Anyway, just wanted to say tha I worship at the alter of 'Juan Valdez'....i'm sure most of you do too!

Later,
Eddie

I came straight from the Toronto (yyz) airport, and made a b-line for a Timmy's! hehe

Never heard of Tim Hurton's...
I'm not much of a coffee drinker really (actually, I don't really go for hot drinks) and StarBucks is really all I'm expored to - that or nasty cheap coffee. :p

I do like fancy coffee (not black), cold blended cofee, and Mocha. But like I said, I'm not much of a drinker - else I'd probably know better than Star Bucks! heh :D

If I ever go to Canada (been dying to visit or move there for a while now) you'll have to tell me where to find one! :)

Tim Hortons died, so that we may have donuts. *lol* It's a chain of donut shops, named after a hocky player. They're more common than gas stations. hehe

StarBucks really confuses me with their straunge wordings of their coffee (grande, super grande and ultra grande or something?).

But....regardless of which place you go, it's better than McDonald's gutterwater.

When I was coming back from Vegas to Toronto, in Vegas it was like oh....20C (people walking around in shorts)....when I landed here, it was 4C (people walking around in parkas). hehe.

Yeah! Come to Canada! We need your tourist dollars! But alas....no Apple stores. :-<

when i graduate, my friend and i are gonna open up inversion café. it'll be a joint café, jazz band venue, mini-recording studio (cheapo do it yourself recording). when i was in a band, there were two options to record, spend the thousand or two dollars to get a decent professional job, or spend 50 to do a hack job with some guy in a shed. this is kind of an in-between deal. you basically sit in there and operate the stuff yourself... basic equipment, but better than a shack ^_~.
the web design offices for inversion designs will be in the back. :D
web design is my passion, but i'm stuck as a computer science major. and i want to open up a café... something is wrong here ^_~

Still sitting here reading/drinking coffee/etc...

It just dawned on me that Jeff and I have been together since May of 1991, which means it is going on 12 years, not 11.

Yes, all of those things about respect, love, etc all apply... The most interesting thing is how we both continue to grow and become different people than we were when we met. I'm not too surprised by the person he's becoming, but I'm not 100% sure about who I'm supposed to be (now that I'm a "grown up").

The funny thing about non-coffee drinkers is what they think "good" or "gourmet" coffee is. They are the ones that tend to give us hazelnut or similar flavored coffee as gifts. Since they don't really like the flavor of coffee, their idea of good coffee is coffee that tastes like something else. These are the same folks who add a ton of milk and sugar (or more likely Hazelnut flavored coffeeMate) when the must drink coffee.

Looking at BuddahBobb's signature, I'm thinking to myself that I must have the tools somehwere on this Mac to translate the non-English text... but I tried SheerLuck, Google Translation, and AltaVista's Bable Fish to no availe. I don't really what to be told what it means (yet), but I'd like a hint on what I should try to translate it?

Ahhhhhhh. Lazy days...

Use Sherlock (that is if you have 10.2) :D

That's weird... works perfectly on mine...
Want the answer? :)

Are you copy / pasting from Interent Explorer? or from the HTML code?

I'm copy / pasting the text directly from the forum - except I'm using Mozilla, wonder if that has anything to do with it...

[edit]
YES!!! It's IE's fault, I tried it from IE and it pasted the exact same garbage you got... heh figures :p
