Fryke - this one is for you, i noticed that you use FDC 2 so maybe your having the same problem, i cant figure out how to set a default browser in KDE, everytime i try click a link in ximian nothing happens and im wondering if it has anything to do with defaults...Im kinda stuck using kde because its alot cleaner than the version of gnomes bundled with FDC 2.

Well, I may not be Fryke but I have a solution I found while Googling.

It's not the most elegant way of doing it as in OS X, but it's something. :p

First, Go to the KDE Control Panel and select KDE Components. There you will find File Associations. Open that and type "html" in the box. You will then only be left with the "text" association. Expand that and you'll see "html." Select that and you will see on the right the applications that are associated to that file. Click Add and locate the browser you want to be default, and make sure that it's the first on the list. Click OK to everything, log out and back in to KDE, and double-click an HTML file. It should open in the browser you selected as default if all worked well.
