delete junk in MAIL?

How do I delete junk mail that is in the junkmail can? I have it set to auto and junk mail goes to the can but how do I delete it? ERASE DELETED MESSAFES deletes the regular trash only.

Go to the Mail prefs, to Accounts. Click on the Edit button for each account, and in the edit window, click on Special Folders. There you will see a drop-down menu giving options for erasing messages in the junk mail folder.
