deleting user accounts/privaledges?

help

just got this sawtooth g4 from another user on ebay and it has some user accounts and passwords/privaledges set up that i can to clear out so i can get full control back.

i have set up a new user account with admin. powers, but still can not delete old users accounts and therefore remove all restrictions on my osx.1

any suggestions?

You will need to open the Users pref pane, pick the user you want to ditch, and select "Delete". Then, you delete their folder from /Users (which will now be tagged 'deleted').

If that fails (which it shouldn't, you may need to do it through NetInfo Manager (under Utilities).

Or, log in as root (there is a HOW-TO log in as root in the forums here) and try from there.
